I divorced Sam, and the special item I had on the Grandmother End Table in the corner of my bedroom disappeared. Image below.
Everything else was in a chest the day after the divorce, but the special quest item was gone. :(
First discovered while running SMAPI, so I rolled back the save and tried playing vanilla. Same problem with both.
Note: I had an extra Grandmother End Table in the chest with all the other items as well.
