PC [BUG] Character freezing in Journey of the Prairie King

When firing UP+LEFT, The character will refuse to move downwards even if the move down key is held. Likewise, if moving downwards, the character will refuse to shoot UP+LEFT.
(I've already failed the Fector's Challenge achievement ON THE FINAL STAGE due to this bug.)

  • Details:
  • Issue: Character freezes while playing JotPK while pressing certain keys
  • Game Version: 1.5 (unmodded/vanilla)
  • Game Language: English
  • Singleplayer
  • OS: Windows 10 ver. 20H2
  • Reproduction: Hold UP+LEFT keys to shoot diagonally, then try to move downwards, or vice versa. Neither can be done at the same time
