PC [Bug] 1.5 Festival of Ice Bug

Hey there everyone

I've just gone to the Festival of Ice & participated in the fishing comp. However I wasn't facing the pond when casting my line & unfortunately my line got stuck in a non-fishable piece of ice. Haven't had this issue before as it would just automatically bring the line back and would let me recast.

I was about to report a similar bug for the Festival of Ice fishing contest and I managed a screenshot. I cast my line into the water, but on the very first attempt my fishing rod bugged and hovered over my avatar. My farmer was unable to cast the rod again, move, or access any menu including ending the event early. I watched helplessly as the fishing contest timer ebbed down to zero and I was unable to cast again into the fishing hole. Zero fish caught, and Willy was a poor sport and won the event lol.

I had the same thing happen today, playing on the Switch. I cast long out of habit, going for a 'perfect' and probably hit poor Maru, sorry. My rod glitched out the same way.

Same as DustyTom123, I accidently cast onto the surrounding ice and got stuck for the duration - unable to recast or exit until the counter timed out and blooming Willy won the comp!

This may be fixed in 1.5.3, but please mention if it's still an issue for you after updating. From the patch notes:

Potential fix for various cases where the player could get stuck/soft-locked in an animation after using a tool. This fixes the Horse Flute softlock, and may potentially solve getting softlocked while trying to fish (on the Beach dock/during the Festival of Ice minigame, etc.).

I have updated the game to 1.5.3 but encountered this same bug!
I got stuck on my first cast, which I cast too far.

I think it maybe have something to do with holding my movement buttons or clicking too fast? Because I did rush into it and pressed those buttons a lot.

I have a picture of the bug aswell. :)
