Hi,
Can you please try to dispose of the item in the trash can again, then immediately save your game and exit, then upload the latest created SMAPI log?
This should hopefully create a log of the issue and the full SMAPI log may help us pinpoint what the issue may be.

The issue with the Broken Trident is that the item will not even go into the trashcan.
Again, I apologize for not making this clear from the beginning.
Also had a very difficult time installing the newest SMAPI update. :(
Basically I deleted and reinstalled the game and mods, saving my save files.

Unless I'm misremembering, I believe it's normal that you can't trash certain weapons or boots. Instead, you can sell them at the Adventurer's Guild.
Since you posted your log though, it looks like you have a couple unrelated issues. You can install Content Patcher as well as this version of Custom Music to get a few of your mods working again.
