Boss Mobs

Though some of the mobs in Skull Cavern can be difficult to deal with, I hope there's more content regarding the combat. Fishing has legendary fishes; Farming have branches to process your crops such as kegs preserve jars and dehydrators; Mining many caves to choose from, while combat seems pretty incomplete.
 
Lowkey I don't mind this idea, eg. Dangerous Mines having bosses on some of the milestone floors, or SC having bosses every 100 floors past floor 100. And you can staircase skip the bosses entirely but if you do fight the boss you'd get a ton of rare rewards like 5 Prismatic Shards or 1 Galaxy Soul or 1 Hot Java Ring or something.

Something like the roguelike mod can probably serve as a proof of concept for this idea.
