Creator Response Bone Sword question - Possible infinite combo (until bag is full)

Hi,

During one of our games I got the Bone sword and Neptune's Glaive as profession upgrades.
Bone sword states "After resolving a monster's ability in the Mine, may roll again".
Neptune's Glaive states "After resolving a monster's ability in the Mine, gain any Ore or Geode".

Four questions,

Do I get both effects?
Do they only trigger once? I had the gold Pick Axe and could always find my way to another monster on the map.
The monster in question took 2 gold from me each time, but what happens if I have no gold? Can I still roll again?
Based on the above, can this combo go infinite?

I guess I should add, does the glaive give you ANY ore/geode, or any ore/geode based on the level of them mine you are on? It did not matter when I played because I was so far down, but I read it as ANY ore/geode.

This is quite the combo!

1) You do get both effects.
2) You can trigger them more than once per turn, as you've discovered here.
3) You can still roll again even if you have no gold.
4) It could loop, but once your inventory is full there would be no point to continue.
5) It gives any ore or geode.

A few interesting things came together to form this unique situation: your upgraded pickaxe, these two upgrades, the right mine level with monsters (especially monsters whose effects were not threatening to you in this instance). Nice find!

Thanks for the reply! Yes, this was the luckiest game I have played. We also managed to build the farm house right away with Robin's gift ability so we won the game after only flipping one winter card since we had the spouse action nearly the whole game.

Wow! Very nice :) It's these kinds of instances I find really fun. There can be surges of good fortune or bad luck, but over time I feel these moments make for great stories.
