Windows Black screen on exit PC ( modded game or vanilla)

whether playing modded sve co-op or normal start via steam launcher, I get black screen on exit. My main monitor stay black. have to shut down pc and restart to get monitor working again. Drivers for Taichi 7900xtx are updated, as well as al other drivers are updated. ( asus x670e-a wifi gaming, 64 gb kingston fury beast, 7900 x cpu, windows 11.)
Being that the game has been moded for SVE, i figured it was safe to post here. my other half running the same game ( and joing my co-op game) on a different system, does not have this black screen on exit.

reinstalled graphics drivers (twice), new display port cable, replaced the pci express cable, cleared cmos... ( not necessarily in that order), but for the first time, the game exited correctly.
