Best Fish for the Ponds?

I like to keep fish that i use to commonly decorate my aquariums, so lots of bottom dwellers like snails and crabs, etc. I get a special kind of satisfaction watching the snails jump around whenever their pond levels up.

As for things that are kinda useful, I'll keep octopii and lava eels, anything that i'm going to use for cooking like shrimp or eels or cucumbers. I keep octopii for the omnigeodes, but also because sometimes i don't feel like fishing for one when George feels like putting one under his wife's pillow. There are others that i keep around sometimes, but I can't remember what they are. Oh and a Rainbow Trout.

'Spook Fish' when in a pond, can randomly give you a treasure chest, it's kind of rare (0.3% chance) but I mean if you're looking for a fun rare occurrence you might like it. :0
