1.6 Update Beach vs. Meadowlands

Got a question about pasture space. The wiki doesn't state how many untillable tiles are on Meadowlands, but am I correct in assuming it is much less than on the Beach farm? That is, the Beach Farm is going to have much more space for growing grass even if I relocate all my coops to untillable land on the Meadowlands farm.

I've been debating Meadowlands vs. Beach for the last several weeks. While I would like to play with the new farm map, I need a LOT of space to grow grass.

If in Meadowlands you protect the grass (placing fences or enclosing small patches in various items fomations) and let it grow wildly (never cut, clean debris carefully with axr/pickaxe only), then more than half the entire map, is filled to the brim with grass (~ 2/3). With careful planning and micromanagement, i have a decent area to grow crops and lots of buildings; including but not limited to, 2x barns, 2x coops, 5x sheds, 14 fish-ponds (14!).

I haven't actually counted or anything, but two of my most played farms are a beach and a meadowlands, and the beach feels like it has more grass space. Both have a lot, but the meadowlands has a huge swatch of decoractive (untillable) grass across the upper section of the main map. It's where I put all my buildings in order to leave more pasture and farming space.

Thanks for the replies!

I might have to see how much hay I can generate with a big shed full of pots of wheat. Recycle the actual wheat into an infinite supply of wheat seeds, maybe keg the excess. This will be interesting.
