Automate mod does not work

Hi

I am trying to use automate, but when placing chests next to machines nothing happens. When I open the overlay it shows that the chests are not connected to the machine despite being next to it.

With a very fast glance: Automate alone works only with "vanilla stuff". You need PFM Automate with it to connect with mods. https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/5038

I downloaded that and deleted automate chests and it seems to be working now. Appreciate your help
