Auto-Hook?

I saw the auto-hook very early on (with the travelling merchant). Even though I couldn't use it (but didn't know at the time) I wanted to get it but there was no way I could have gotten 7500 by the end of that day. Well, that was 4 game years ago and for the past two years I've been religiously checking the traveling merchant every Friday and Sunday but never saw it again (and I always have 7500 on me at all times just in case).

Is this super rare or do I just have bad luck?

I thought that was an enchantment you do in the forge, rather than a thing you can just buy?

I don't have access to the forge yet. I looked over the Wiki and it seems that after I finished the Community Center I should have gotten an invitation to WIlly's back room... but I haven't yet (and it's been close to a year, too).

I've thought about getting it through Steam but I wouldn't have as much time for it there.

Yeah, the auto-hook is a 1.5 thing (and also not something you buy from the cart). Sorry!
