Angler or pirate

I was just wondering which one is better because angler increases prices however you won’t need that increase when you have a stable source of income (when you get more years in) but it helps a lot when you are in year 1. For pirate it’s good because you can get rare treasures which sell for maybe 1000 or smth and it’s more fun but I’m not sure

In the Sewers there's a Statue you can interact with that allows you to change one Profession at a time for 10,000g. When you want to switch to Pirate (and IMO you do, it's GREAT fun!), just head in there with all that extra g you got from Fishing and make the change. Works for all other Profession choices, too!

I change my foraging perk semi-regularly, pop on Botanist to grab those iridium forageables. I like Tracker the majority of the time though - I like that it tracks artifact spots and panning spots as well as just the items on the ground.

I am a permanent Pirate for fishing though, because I like shiny things.

Pirate because money is never an issue... but you fish for the sheer excitement of randomness of it all. Which fish landed this time? What items will I get? Do I go for the treasure or the fish?

There's so much rewards in the fishing chests that even with Pirate it may take a while to get them all... plus even though there's easier ways to get Work Boots now, I can't wait until one day when I randomly found it while fishing up a Carp or something and then flex that I found them in the chests (probably never but one can dream ...)
