Hi I am new to Stardew and I have started to play on my Chromebook, but would like to play the same game also on my android mobile, is this possible?

Absolutely. The wiki has an easy step-by-step you can follow located >> here <<, just follow the steps as if your Chromebook is a computer, even though it is just a giant phone that looks like a laptop without phone service.

thank you for your reply. Is it not possible to link the game to my google play account or facebook so I can play the saved game on two separate android devices?

No, that doesn't work. You can only do it manually. It works fine if you want to transfer a save file once in a while, but if you play on both devices regularly, I suggest making two different files. Maybe try out different farm types or playstyles on each.
