I don't get planted my ancient sees (no green square when I pick them up). What do I have to do?

You likely have Ancient Seed ARTIFACT. Donate that to the museum and you will get an actual ancient seed in reward as well as learn how to make more if you find the artifact again.

To plant an ancient seed, you need to make sure you have the seed packet. To do this:
Acquire the artifact.
Take it to Gunther in the Library.
He'll give you a an ancient seed packet and a recipe for crafting more ancient seed packets from any more ancient seed artifacts you find.
Go back to your farm and plant the seed packet.

Plant it preferably in the spring, as they take an annoyingly long time to grow (28 days without Speed-Gro) and only produce once a week. If you find the seed in the fall, save it.
