I play Stardew on mobile I was getting very aggravated that I could not go to ginger island thankfully the last update on mobile fixed almost all of that I did not see multiplayer I think on mobil you could do by if you are on the same internet or Bluetooth then you could play with a friend on mobile.

CA has said previously that it is issues with multiplayer on that platform that were insurmountable.
