Windows All Coal and Gold Vanished from Farm Chests After Quarry Mine Encounter

Ok, so I encountered new skeleton monsters in the Quarry Mine and they took all my coal and gold from my farm chests . Is it supposed to do that? I should have just restarted the day once I realised, but it's too late now. I had a whole year's worth of coal and gold ore. All gone *cries*
