Add Ukrainian localization

I am sure that I am not the first person to ask, but I am sure that I will not be the last. I can name several reasons why adding language can improve the game. 1) Ukrainians gave up the Russian language a long time ago, so we only have the choice of English. Since a large number of people do not have a sufficient level to simply enjoy the game, the desire to play disappears. 2) Ukrainians are interested in promoting their language in games, so any game with the Ukrainian language will be of interest to quite a few people (besides, Stardew Valley is now one of the popular game farms). Currently, there is a Ukrainian localization on the Internet, but it is difficult to constantly update it, since it is necessary to follow it, and also if there are big updates like 1.6, we have to wait for it to be translated.
P.S.
My level of English is also not high so I had to use a translator=)

How many people are speaking ukranian language? You can probably imagine what kind of effort is necessary to translate the whole game in your language.
To be fair to other minority countries SV Team should translate the game to other languages as well. There are lot of other issues to manage.
I am sorry but it is not worth it.

I agree with you, because translating text into rare languages is a very difficult task

Ukainian is spoken by ~ 35-40 million people. That's not that small.
And I think it's ALWAYS worth it, because you can't expect that everyone learns English (or one of the other official supported languages). For what reason? Especially when you consider that the game is also for children...
I think it's a bit arrogant to exclude such other smaller languages just because you belong to a big language yourself.

So the better question would therefor be: how can translating made easier for those who want the game in their own language?

That's SO rude!

How many languages do YOU speak?
Would you learn another languages just because you have a war nearby?
Man you REALLY should think about your words before you type these next time!!!

It's NOT about justice or denial of reality, it IS about respect!
But regarding the game and its translation I never said someone has to pay. I asked for an easier way to support translations. I am pretty sure there are Ukainians and many other smaller language users who can speak English (or German oder French) and would translate the game for free.
You just have to make it easy for them to do so - that's all!

BTW: you didn't answer the question how many languages YOU speak. After all, YOU have demanded such from others!

Before this discussion gets any more heated, i would like to point out that we don't know that's its unlicenced. In all likelihood, people are paying for the game, then using mods to add a translation. This is perfectly reasonable and using mods is actively SUPPORTED BY THE DEVELOPER. In other words, they are perfectly within there rights to use mods to play a game in there own language, and there is no need to use demeaning language when we don't understand the full context. They are still paying for the game.

This is absolutely a good question that we should consider! Unfortunately, I don't know what more can be done other than what is already being done (allowing and supporting mods and making it easier for them to make mods), as most non official translations are effectively mods.

I think that personal issues should be discussed on another resource or in personal interaction between us

It is obvious that the residents of Ukraine need to develop their gaming community within the country to solve translation problems

Sorry for asking, but isn't ukranian language a variation of Russian language, like a native dialect of sorts...?
Yes and no....

Most likely, this is a combination of Russian and Polish. It is difficult to say more precisely
...actually Russian and Ukrainian share the same east slavic origin. Same as Spanish and Portuguese regarding Latin. Or German, Dutch and Englisch regarding West-Germanic. Today they are independent languages that do not necessarily understand each other anymore.
And yes, Ukrainian has some connections to Polish as well. All of them (Russian, Ukrainian, Polish) are slavic languages - so it's one language family.

Yes and no (as well): Mods are possible. Mods can add translations. Both is true.
But mods are mainly for PC gaming. and to use mods on PC you have to install additional software.
And last there is (as far as I know) no way to help for official translations. But there are web communities to do so, like https://www.localizor.com or https://weblate.org .

It is obvious that the residents of Ukraine need to develop their gaming community within the country to solve translation problems
Man, what's you problem with other languages and translations???

Hi everyone, I want to remind everyone to keep things polite and respectful when discussing this suggestion. Please remember it is not appropriate to suggest that the person making a suggestion needs to justify their suggestion in some way. If someone is suggesting a language be added to the game, it is fine to share support, or ask questions. I think the thread has gotten a bit off topic, please keep further discussion related to the suggestion itself. Additional off-topic messages may be removed.

I totally agree with you! Arabic is my native language!
It's not, in fact, true. your posts are 4/5 about Ukrainian and your disinformation here, and your nickname is Russian word. Ukrainian is NOT a rare language, it's more popular than Czech and Italian in gaming (steam) community. Ukrainian is Slavic language, it's similar to other Slavic languages, but it's not nearly the same.
Support this tweet about Ukrainian localization, we should show that we need to see our native language in the game!
