Add more *Secret* to the Secret woods

100% agree for something called the secret forest theirs nothing to do their except get early game hardwood.
also I love the idea of shadow village there maybe background on Krobus? I think that would be cool

The Secret Forest stood out a bit more when the game was smaller, around v1.4 and earlier. With events like:
Old Master Cannoli
May-Pal Syrup
Unique Forageables
Woodskip fishing
Hardwood (if you don't cheat and play the Forest Farm like me)
Easy Slime access to help with the Slime Ring
Emily's 10
event (I'm an Emily simp so this is a biggie for me)
It did have a nice set of unique aspects to it, but as the game has expanded, all that's been added is our buddy the Crow with his Lost Items Shop. The area could use some love and your Shadow Village idea is great!

That's a great idea rings deserve more love, but what would be in the bundles? More unique foregables?
Like shadow fruits or something or even some seeds that have to be grown inside (away from the sun, not in the greenhouse either)
And what would the rings do?
Rings are more combat based so maybe something to do with the shadow brutes you find in the caves?
I'm not the most creative person in the world so I'm unsure

Although i think a village for Korbus' people is a great idea, i dont think it fit's into the nature of the secret woods (especially since his people are found in the mines and only on the lava levels, plus Korbus says most aren't like him). Although i do agree that the secret woods needs a bit more love. Maybe something mystical that gives some more backstory about the ruins in the woods and Old Master Cannoli's Statue. I always found myself wondering why Old Master Cannoli was even searching for the sweetest taste. A quest line in thr secret woods that unlocks after you give him the Sweet Gem Berry could lead to the Rare Seeds having more use than just growing one for a Stardrop. The Statue could be made to come to life and talk to you, even sell you the Rare Seeds after you complete his questline. The questline could be centered around cooking different things. To give people more insensitive to cook stuff beyond achievement hunting. He could even reward the player with recipes that the Rare Seed inspired in him after you gave it to him.
