HIIII!!! I thought it would be cute if we had a thread where we shared recipes that we accidentally discovered! I thought of this after I made a delicious vanilla honey butter because I was bored.
Recipe:
A pad of butter (about 1/8 of the stick)
A splash of vanilla (a little goes a long way!)
1 tablespoon-ish of honey
(optional) Rosemary
Take a small microwave-safe bowl or ramekin and add vanilla and honey. Stir until combined.
Plop the pad of butter into the mixture. Smush it with a spoon or knife so it is soft.
Stick the whole thing in the microwave. About 30 seconds will do.
Stir the melted butter and vanilla-honey mixture until combined. This will be a lot of stirring!
Pour the liquid into some sort of vessel that will be mostly full when holding the butter.
Freeze for about 20 minutes, or until the butter has hardened. (I don't know anything about this, but over-freezing should be fine)
Take it out of the freezer. Be careful, the butter and vanilla honey will have seperated. Break the layer of butter that is on top, and squish the butter around until it's mostly mixed.
You're done! Best served on toasted crusty bread. When spreading, I would recommend making a cut in the bread as to fill with butter. This way the inside of the bread will have butter too!
Similar recipes can be posted on this thread, and I hope this encourages you to start messing around with your ingredients. Thank you!
