aside from barn and coop animals... your dogs or cats should be roaming around the town not just your farm.

and some npcs should have their own pets like alex, he have a dog.

and those pets (so do yours) should just roam the town and when night comes they're just come back to their owners.

the pelican town will be beautiful with pets just playing and exploring the town. and you can pet them too.

It's really sweet to take my cat to the beach. She just lay down by my side while I'm fishing

I think it could be nice, though there are always different standards for animal care and freedom where you go.

I think seeing how Alex's dog is confined to it's own yard-ish area and dog house, that it's rather typical for pets to not be free roaming in SDV (seeing as there are also wolves that literally eat your animals if locked outside, it could be a safety thing)

Do feel free to leave a suggestion in the suggestions part of the forum if you'd like to see the change, a dev may take note of it
