A few weather ideas to spice things up

noobsqoou

Planter
Windy Days (new effect)
— due to the effects of pollen spread, all outdoor crops advance one extra day of growth or regrowth overnight into the next morning

Blizzard (new weather)
— Winter time stand-in for thunderstorms
— visibility is worse than during snowy weather
— player movement speed (both on foot and on horseback) is reduced when outside
— energy-based actions take 25% more energy to perform outside
— naturally sheltered areas like the Mines count as inside
— all villagers stay indoors during this weather

Hailstorm (new weather)
— rare "storm" variant: game must first roll for a storm to occur, then must roll for a chance of hail
— can only happen during the Summer, only once a given year at most, and never in the first year
— all outdoor produce harvested on this day is always base quality
— all chances of extra produce at harvest on this day are reduced to 0%
— the next morning, around 50% of crops are destroyed (affected by daily luck)
— players take random hits of low damage while outside (affected by all luck)
— naturally sheltered areas like the Mines count as inside
— all villagers stay indoors during this weather

Thoughts welcome . . .

I'm for it! Seasonal weather variants definitely spice things up, but I do get tired of the same few weather events constantly. Hailstorms sound like they have the most potential. Perhaps we could even see something like a Hail Collector that can produce Ice Cubes the day after a hailstorm. These could be used to make Ice Cream! I think a Mini-Fridge crafting recipe could also be a possibility too. I don't think it's likely that we will see crop destruction, as that doesn't seem like the vibe the devs want, but the low level damage from the hail would be really cool.

Maybe they could add a custom setting that enables or disabled Natural Disasters. This could enable hail to destroy crops, as well as a few other things. Earthquakes should happen extremely rarely (as one is already in the game), and destroy all crops on a Trellis. It could also have chances to damage or destroy furniture/buildings based on the RNG severity of the quake. Floods could occur after consecutive days of raining. Idk if it's possible in the current engine, but it would be cool for bodies of water to actually expand out a tile for each day that it rains in a row. This wouldn't have much of an effect on most farms, but would be a lot more pertinent of a threat on River or Beach Farms. Hill-Top Farms could come with the risk of a Landslide.

Like @1FlyCat said, things like fog, heat wave, and drought would also work very well in a Weather Overhaul. Fog could occur on cold days after raining, severely reducing visibility. Droughts could be the opposite of floods, happening after maybe a week of no rain. Drought could stop crop growth, as if you didn't even water them. However, not watering them will lead to the complete death of the crop. Would be cool to also have water levels retract a tile, leading to some water sources drying up or the day. Heat waves could randomly occur in the summer, and could be the inverse of a blizzard. Players could take low level damage while outside and would sunburn far quicker than normal. They would do actions at about 1/2 speed, and use more energy while doing so. All NPCs would stay inside, or go to the beach to swim.
