4 players with 2 Switch consoles possible?

Is it possible to play with 4 players on 2 Switch consoles? Each console would be 2 player split screen, then join a farm together.

I believe that a split-screen co-op is strictly split screen, but I've never used split-screen or a switch so I have no idea.

Unfortunately this is not possible. You can have four players on Switch if everyone has their own device (online/lan co-op) or you can have two people play on the same Switch (splitscreen co-op), but you can't do both at the same time. https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Multiplayer#Restrictions
