1.7 is going ahead

I think it's quite nice, before this it was more or less a possibility based on the fact that CA said he'd never really abandon the game, but it's nice to see some guarantee in his words, especially since he hasn't ever really gone back on any big promise or content drop, and is very genuine in following everything he explicitly says through.

I do wonder what can be added to the game without overinflating it though, I already felt like the game was very well flushed out with 1.5, and 1.6 has a few content features I think oversaturate the game. An update like 1.5 would be perfect IMO, though I'm not sure how such a thing could be pulled off now in the games development.

I really do hope he focuses on HC first and ideally gains some more insight from that, it's crazy how stardew is his first game

1.6 the author did not overload, on the contrary, he made the game even more exciting. I have 450 hours of play, and it's over, there's nowhere else to go. Ideally, you achieve perfection, and a new city opens up in front of you - the game "Chocolate Shop with Ghosts". I would like every player to understand that completing a certain task is rewarded by discovering a new place. It came as a surprise to me that the full restoration of the club would lead to access to Ginger Island. If I had known about this in advance, I would not have delayed collecting fish for the aquarium. And when you collect nuts on the island, another new location would open - the cosmodrome) And I would also like a children's version of "Star Dew" - where there are more children's characters and no adult themes (the mayor's connection with Marnie).

Bit more about CA's way of handling the games:
ConcernedApe's Haunted Chocolatier

And i hope there'll be more optimizations for modders and official updates, so that mod and bug fix etc progress will be easier to handle in general.
Since it's a whole new version, maybe some smaller things like regular (so not too important) areas, and i always like forageables and crops and fish, maybe with some machines, but i use mods which add plenty machines... more areas to do whatever in is always good (PiF mods are awesome), a few new areas to choose from, where one could build their own farmhouse, and live there, too!

Maybe some variants of the skills, like choosing the Tapper profession to either do what it does(tapper products selling for more), or boosting the speed of tappers and/or heavy tappers, or giving both after some quests.
The current tapper profession isn't that good, but other ones which are good, like botanist, get a lesser extra effect.
Tracker's one that's barely used, too... maybe also tracking one's own farm animals, artifact spots, panning spots and fishing bubbles(the spots where many fish will bite), and maybe also trashcans which contain something.
Even though i use mods for these things, i still think this would help non-mod players, and those not using these particular mods.

I'd also like some randomization in the mines, like new floors with new materials(useable for new items, or to get the regular material bars with, by putting them in the furnace together), or new versions like mixed floors that could have any non-radioactive ore(Skull Cavern having those, too, i guess) and such.
New mines?! Nothing special, just another place to mine and collect materials, gems, artifacts etc.
