Switch 1.6 Switch Golden Coconuts

Hello! I currently have a save on my switch that i'm on the seventh year. For some reason ever since 1.6 launched i'm no longer able to trade coconuts for golden coconuts and the island trader. I know the requirement of having to open at least one and i've opened plenty. Any ideas?

Sounds like a bug with the save file where it doesn't recognise that you have cracked open your first golden coconut. A few others have reported this issue. If removing/cracking open old golden coconuts and finding a new golden coconut in the current version and then cracking that open doesn't fix it, then you'll have to wait for a patch or start fresh.
