Snake Vertebrae. I think this is the rarest bone you need to find. Artifact spots are already rare. This thing requires specific place (west of island, the farm) and everytime I dig it, I only got clay or such. It's been +1 year! and I haven't got it. This case was similar to Prehistoric Scapula prior to 1.5, which can only be found at the north of the farm or Cindersap Forest.

Does anyone also have same issue as I do?

Yes, it is usually the last i need to complete the quest. And I'm not certain if using the space for crops is decreasing your chances further for getting artefact spots in that region.

- I got them at around the rate of one per 30 days.
- How artifact spots work is that they only appear if the randomly selected tile is clear. Thus, you should make sure that you get two Snake Vertebrae before before planting any crops, since I believe that artifact spots can spawn in the tillable tiles. (Make sure that the all tillable tiles + all beach tiles are clear of debris.)
- Using the Tracker profession is helpful so that you never miss an artifact spot.

Like others have said, to have a better chance at it, clear your farm. Once I cleared my farm I got several artifact spots a day and was able to get it fairly quickly.
