(1.5) How do I trigger this event? *Spoilers*

I'm year 3 with the community bundles completed and everything. I loaded the update and I got the cutscene for Pierre's quest board but I didn't get anything for the island trigger. I saw on some website that Willy asks you to help him with his boat after you finish the community center, but I never got that. I was hoping to just load my old save and keep playing.

Anyone have this issue?

In my case, I got mail from Willy saying that he wanted to show something in his house.
I also used my old save file, so I suppose you should get that mail from Willy too

As far as I can tell, you must update the game, play a day, sleep, and when you wake up you get the mail from Willy.
