I am unsure if this is a bug or feature, but Life Elixers and Oil of Garlic cannot be deconstructed. Other the edible crafted items (Field Snacks and Bug Steak) can be deconstructed normally. I think the source is the non-deconstructable items having the Cooking label in their item descriptions...
