ground

I lost my hoe. I gave it to the blacksmith for pumping. Two days later I got the notification about the improvement, but the blacksmith did not return it and for a week later too. How to dig up ground without hoe? I don't want to restart and the greenhouse is pretty small.

As seen above, there's some ground layer poking up above the trees, not game breaking or anything - just thought I'd share, in fact, I didn't really notice it until I was sitting AFK. I'm on Y2 Autumn, doesn't fix itself when I enter in and out of the farm area. Figure it's just a layer issue...

When you walk, the ground blinks or something. I think it always does it, but you can see it the most when it is a little dark and when you walk slowly.
