gourmet frog

I've been playing stardew for 2 years and i can not seem to get the gourmet frog to look at my melon.i have Fully grown it multiple times and he still ask me if i'm still growing the big bombo fruit. i got the 5 golden coconuts from for the wheat and the garlic, i'm just missing the melon, but...
