geode crusher

I put two omnigeodes into two geode crushers and both spawned prismatic shards. I had a luck buff and I think decent daily luck. Does daily luck / luck buffs effect crushing geodes? Or was this just a coincidence?

I've completed the Cave Patrol request and received the letter from Clint for the blueprint to make a Geode Crusher, but it doesn't show up in my crafting tab. I checked his shop and tool upgrades but there's nothing there either, so I still have to pay to break geodes. Is this a bug or am I...
