Every time I try to process geodes the game crashes and you have to start the day over when opening the app again

1000+ hours player here. I started a new vanilla playthrough and found if your first geode is from fishing chests it will not play the animation that your first geode normally plays- later when in the mines I did get a geode the animation played even though it was not my first

I had Clint who gave me a present this present included geodes which prompts the text for when you find your first geode. Has anyone else seen this issue?
