extreme lag

I bought this game on gog about two nights ago and I'm experiencing lag/music distortion ever single time I play. I have no mods and I don't play co-op whatsoever but this still happens. I've tried the task manager fix and that hasn't helped at all. My computer info is Processor: AMD A8-4555M...
