dissapearing bait

Hi All! I play on IOS Single-Player. Used the Bait Maker twice now for Squid & Albacore bait. Then multiple days later, I go to the dock, attach it to my rod, cast one time, and after not catching something, all of my 20-30 bait was used up with just that one cast. 1st time I thought no big...
