disappearing crops

Hi, has anyone else experienced this? I just bought 80 hay and it's not in my inventory or my silo. I've also noticed that when I collect my bait from my bait maker it disappears from my backpack as well.

Playing on switch, I've had about 10 tiles of crops (out of about 40) just disappear over 3 in-game days. Just wake up in the morning and more of them are gone. I have scarecrows and lightning rods, so I think it's a bug.

My son is playing multi-player with two old friends. Half of their blueberry crops (in a block) disappeared. Then the rest of them disappeared the next day. Granted, it's possible one of the friends is chopping the crops. But they say they aren't. Is there any confirmation of any reason why that...
