Yeah, I don't really know why you can't have a birthday. Even if you don't celebrate it, maybe if you have enough hearts with a given player, you can get a gift or something if you talk to them on that day? I do think we should have birthdays.

For the same reasons you can customize other features of the character: whatever the player may need it for. For example, you could invite someone to play with you in multiplayer and want to change the birthdays so they coincide on the same day, or don't if they do.
