1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

So now it's Fall. An explosion was heard in the night, and I found a meteor on my farm - far from my crops or my chickens, fortunately. So I will need to upgrade my pickaxe to get rid of it.
Also, my house is upgraded now, with a slight delay due to the Moonlight Jellies festival. I now have a kitchen and a double bed, and the space feels a bit less cramped.

I decided to be cheap and plant mostly mixed seeds and mixed flower seeds, as well as all the broccoli I got from the ticket machine earlier. I did make sure to have seeds for all the fall crops I need for the community center, just in case they are not in with the mixed seeds. And ameranth, since I know Marnie will want some eventually.
Harvesting my summer corn got me to the next farming level. I can now make kegs, but of course I don't have resin yet.

On Tuesday it was Penny's birthday, so I brought her a poppy.

On Wednesday I picked up my gold pickaxe and found 10 iridium ore and a prismatic shard in the meteor on my farm. I now have 5 iridium bars, because of some lucky finds in geodes. I had a magma geode that netted me 11 iridium ore - the highest I ever had - and found 4 more in omni geodes. I'm not sure whether I want to upgrade my pickaxe to iridium or keep them for the boat.

I decided it was time to upgrade my trash can, which I will regret later. I also ordered a well from Robin. This is the first time I ever had a well built on my farm, but I really need it. And it looks cute.

On Thursday it was Elliott's birthday, and I was told it was going to rain the next day. Now I can't upgrade my watering can, as Clint is still working on my trash can. Oh, well. At least it wasn't raining today, so I could *find* Elliott on his birthday. I had to give him a makeshift "liked" gift, as he's almost as picky as Alex when it comes to loved gifts.
Of course I found a lobster in my crab pot the day *after* Elliott's birthday...

Ideally I would like to upgrade all my copper tools to steel this season, and get the bigger backpack. It would be nice if I remembered to do these things before the shops close, though.

Won the competition at the fair, again. I need to get better at redeeming my prize tickets. Got three of them in a chest now.

Despite trying to keep on top of the omni geodes with 8 geode crushers, the stack kept growing, so I took an afternoon and had Clint break a few hundred. It was just a matter of finding a non-Friday when I got done with the chores in time. Fortunately I have an extra hour with the town key, between closing and when he actually leaves the counter.

I'm in Spring. My beautiful wife Penny asked if we should adopt another child, and I said (well if it was real life) "Heck yeah!" Now I need good boys names in some correlation to the word 'sun' so I can have my sun-and-moon kids, as I have a daughter called Luna. :baby::baby2::bottle::baby::baby2::bottle:
Reminds me of when I named the MC in a Suikoden game "Aurinko", the Finnish word for sun, on every replay after the first discarded attempt. He was a prince in a queendom where there was this phrase "Let our mercy as deep as the (river name), and our authority as powerful as the sun, be revealed to the world!"... So I wanted to have fun with it.

My mum said Elio. And I'm like, "Seriously? That runt from the Disney-Pixar movie?"

Elio is a good proposal, so is Samson (hebrew), Cyrus (persian), Ravi (Sanskrit), Lucian (Latin), Haru (japanese) Robin (old German). Maybe Lucian would fit well, when your daughter is a Luna 🤷🏻‍♀️

I do like Lucian and Luna.

So I played my second week of fall. I finally bought the biggest backpack. I had quite a bit of money left because I'd been so cheap with my seeds last week, so I also asked Robin to build me a barn.
I also made a keg, so I can finally get Pam her pale ale.

I spent the next day fishing and looking for copper ore in the mines. I need copper and iron more than gold at the moment. I actually have quite a lot of gold.
I'm down to floor 116 now, and I have my Obsidian Edge. I don't really feel like going all the way down to 120. I won't need the skull key until I unlock the bus.
I picked up the Alleyway Buffet book from the woods, and the extra prize ticket from where the bookseller sets up.

The next day was Jodi's birthday, and I gave her a Vegetable Medley that I picked up somewhere. I stopped by Marnie's on the way home and bought a brown cow.

Abigail's birthday was a few days later, and fortunately I do have an amethyst for her. I made a cheese press and brought my first cheese to the community center. It's getting there.

On the next Monday Jodi invited me to dinner, but I didn't manage to catch the largemouth bass. I did find a rare seed in a treasure chest. I didn't have time to bring it to Gunther, and I don't have a greenhouse anyway, so it will keep.
I retrieved Lewis' shorts from Marnie on my way back home from the lake. Don't know what I want to do with them yet, so I stuck them in my chest for "villager gifts".

i did something insane in my game... i... divorced elliott! ok, that's probably not insane but i never thought i would do that.

personally, i just wanted to spice up my life and go for a plan i had made two IRL years ago, which was to marry one of the gals.

since then: i was married to abigail for literally two whole days, i realized i wasn't a big fan and i divorced her and used the lovely spell of forgetting from the witch so i could fix our friendship. now, i'm going to marry maru, which is what i initially wanted to do since i've always liked her :3

farm update: i have a new black cat, his name is peter, this is totally not a KISS reference... and i expanded my maple syrup farm, theres now 24 trees instead of 12. i'm planning on adding more fish ponds, for sturgeons, salmon, and tuna, just need to get a sturgeon now... and i've been growing a ton of random crops! just random seeds i saved up i'm using in my greenhouse, so there's always a really cool diverse selection of crops i sell.

and i got a new funny cactus from the desert festival, those guys have to be my favorite thing ever :3

So Rowan did get to town, got their barn upgrade, got their last batch of spring seeds (including a few meant as a head start on next year since they don't do the night market), got some extra food and recipes at Gus's, early enough not to be thrown into a panic by the crowd. But despite firmly leaving the community centre until the late night hours, they STILL could not get to the darn blacksmith on time. Oh, well, two more weeks to wait before they crack that crack a huge pile of geodes. (The week between is the mountain lake fishing and other mountain works only).

On the way back from trying to beat the clock, they noticed one of the things on that quest board gave them 9 days to complete, not 2, for once, so might be doable if they made a special exception on the last Saturday and spoke to exactly one townie outside the mountain area.

Best of all, they DID manage to get the last item to finish the boiler room in the community centre, so now there are minecarts as a way to maybe, just maybe, get to Clint before closing a bit more easily.

The next day was back to farming; several orchard trees had matured and needed pathing built around them, plus there was the whole thing about needing a good bunch more potatoes and only a week to finish them, and of course they *still* needed two more gold-quality parsnips.

It did occur to them that getting a barn upgrade the week before their trip to the mountain lake, (and not their trip to cindersap), was maybe a bit overhasty, as now it would also be two weeks before they could actually buy any goats...

Oh, I need to try that when I get the flute block.

On my farm it's still fall. I gave Pam her pale ale, and bought a few seeds. My mixed seeds patch is a bit messy, but it did yield 8 pumpkins so far, a few aubergine plants and some artichokes. I decided to fill in the empty spots with yams, as I think it may be a bit too late for pumpkins.

I debated putting the shorts in the grange display, but frankly, after the first time that's sort of boring - and I think I have enough to win without the bribe. I won anyway, and enjoyed Pierre huffing and puffing about it. I think I prefer beating Pierre to blackmailing Lewis.

I managed not to forget any birthdays, and accidentally bought two milkpails, which is annoying, because you can't sell them or even trash them.
However, I did manage to make cheese, so I'm finally getting somewhere with the animal bundle.

I gave Robin a topaz, because I had nothing she really would have loved. While I was there, I asked her to upgrade my barn.

So now it's the last week of fall. Already! Time goes so fast in this game. I found my first duck egg, which means I ony need one more item for the animal bundle at the CC.
I actually managed to remember George's birthday.

I went to the Spirits' Eve Festival and greeted everyone who was there. I didn't buy anything from Pierre, though. Not at those prices!

I had gone for an upgrade to my watering can, but forgot that there was a festival, so I only got it back on the 28th. Lost 16 yams and 3 fairy roses that should have been harvestable on the 28th. Sigh.

Winter is coming. I need 2 of the winter foragables for the craft room (got winter root and crystal fruit in the mines). So close!
