What do folks do with the greenhouse in very late game?

I'm curious what people do with their greenhouses once they're not really needed anymore. I'm a couple years post-perfection in my current save, and I'd like to basically get my farm 'polished' up before I decide to move on to a new one. I'm the farthest in plot-wise, time-wise and money-wise than I've ever been - not trying to max or anything, just enjoying. But, I'm feeling at a bit of a loss with what to do with my greenhouse.

This is its current setup (I didn't even use all the fruit tree space on the edge, sigh). There was originally ancient fruit in there, but all of that is on GI now. What's here is grapes to make raisins for my Junimo hut, corn for tortillas to make lucky lunches, and broccoli, cranberries, and blueberries to harvest and use as green, red, and blue respectively for the prismatic grange quest. Only thing is I'm now overflowing with all of the above so I never come in here anymore (and I didn't really need the green anyway I've got like 5 full stacks of fiber).

I'm looking for a little inspiration. I do want to rejigger the fruit trees, but as for the middle this setup is past it's point of necessity.

I usually fill the mid and late game Greenhouse with:

• Fruit trees around the sides and back
• Pineapples in Garden Pots below the Trees (with a gap so I can shake the Fruit!)
• Front soil row full with 1 each of the reharvestable Crops (Eggplant, Tomatoes, Cranberries, etc.) for cooking
• Rest of soil rows full of Ancient Fruit (still want to process that into Wine/Jelly to fund funthings!)
• Front of Greenhouse usually has a Chest and some machines for this 'n that.

That way I don't need to go alllllll the way over to Ginger to get some moneyfroot and anyway Ginger is slowly being reshaped into a Fruit Tree Forest as I plant all my saplings from SK runs there. The Ginger farm is my Skull Cavern Trophy Room.

Ooo, I rather like the idea of having just one re-harvestable cooking plant per type needed. More variety and less overkill!

Either ignore it if I move away from crops, or use it for collecting items, especially fruit tree fruit.

If you integrate it into your same route for harvesting ginger island (assuming you're also still harvesting that), then it's a free 120 additional tiles that serve the same purpose.

I've also seen some great decoration jobs done with it, the greenhouse is a fairly cozy space, so it tends well to a small garden aesthetic.

Friendship Factory.

all the "easiest" loved items grown there. and it can cover most villagers

grape stalk [Vincent]
hot pepper plant(s) [Shane, Lewis]
strawberries [Maru, Demetrius]
Cacti [Sam, Pam, Linus]
Orange/Peach/Mango/Pomegranate Trees (Gus, Robin, Leo, Elliot)
Sunflowers [Haley]

and so on. Keeping a keen eye for 1 plant that can cover multiple villagers (Pumpkins and Spring Forage are other good options, albeit require another round of seeds unlike the above list) is important.

I decided to do sort of a combo - I wanted some larger-scale coffee production, so I made the greenhouse into a retro-themed farm-to-table coffee shop :proud:.

Greenbrew Coffee House
Our coffee is grown and brewed right on the premises for maximum freshness and flavor. Sit in comfort in our cushy lounge, sipping your beverage of choice while enjoying the complementary aroma of the in-house fruit trees. An unforgettable java experience!

I generally have coffee, strawberries, ancient fruit and starfruit in mine. And one of each fruit tree, and a whole bunch of butterfly hutches, because I love the butterflies.
Ooo I definitely should put butterfly hutches in mine, I usually have them in the house and they're amazing!

Here is my greenhouse:

I have my trees outside so I decided to keep some coffee bushes around the planting area. The planting area all has Deluxe Retaining Soil so no sprinklers and it is filled with ancient fruit because I can't be bothered to be replanting crops. The rest of the greenhouse is lightly decorated.

The same happened to me late game; no motivation to go into the greenhouse. Your greenhouse is gorgeous by the way.

My greenhouse now is all coffee and green tea - to make espressos so I have speed buff all day, and green tea is a gift almost all villagers like.

I've got all my fruit trees outside in several orchards based on what season they fruit (spring orchard is my favourite). I'm finding it more fun and rewarding to just harvest fruit in season, something to look forward to.

Very nice! It looks really nice while being also super functional. Whatever mods you are using are awful pretty, especially the actually clear glass at the back! Sigh ... no mods for me until I figure out how to function on a computer; I bought the game for PC but I got so used to the mobile controls that whenever I try to start a new save I get frustrated figuring out how to do simple things and just dig out my tablet again *shrug*.

thank you so much @Rahnee, the mod is Ellie's Ideal Greenhouse

In terms of modding, I totally get how strange it would feel playing on a PC after a console so you can play PC modded!!

I'm interested in seeing what you do with your greenhouse if you want to keep us updated!
