I've almost completed my 3rd year and still have not come across a trilobite. I regularly check nodes on ginger island, use the treasure totem on the beach and in the mountains. I've tried increasing my luck. And I always dig any artifact spots, I just feel like I should've come across at least one by now. please i need help :( i just want to finish the museum.

Trilobite is one of those artifact that has a relatively low chances of appearing. It only has a 0.8% chances (1 in 125) of appearing from the Bone Node, and a maximum of 5% chances from artifact spots in the Beach, so you'll have a significantly better chance to find it in the Beach. I couldn't find any references about the mechanics of the game that controls the chance rate of an unfound artifacts, so I think the chances must be the same whether an artifact has been found or not.
The lowest chances of it being found in the beach is 1.7%, so it (should be, I think) guaranteed to be found at least 1 in every 59 artifact spot in the beach.
I think it's not quite considered as a bug, unless, if you've been digging for 100 times in the beach in one day (using treasure totem of course) and still couldn't find one, then it could be a bug.
My advice is to try to craft as many treasure totem as possible and then spawning it all in the beach and dig up every one of them, all in one day, while having a very good daily luck. That way you'll have a better chance to find the Trilobite.
