Today I spent some time on Ginger Island. Trying to find the stupid golden coconut. I'm drowning in coconuts, so I just need to find that first one and then I can spam the island trader with my regular ones...
I swear the parrots think I'm going nuts - this weird ground-dweller that keeps shaking trees...
I think that in one save I got my first golden coconut from an artifact spot shortly after setting foot on the island.

If you look up artifact spot on the wiki, it checks 3 lists for items on Ginger Island, where golden coconuts is mentioned in two places. The first instance requires you to have already cracked one, but there's no condition on the second chance for it. Though palm trees have a significantly better chance of dropping one along with the regular coconut.

Did not participate in the Egg Festival, thus letting my wife win the egg hunt. Too many chores to do. I did participate in the Desert Festival, even if I only went to buy stuff and get a new outfit on the last day of it as I had more than enough eggs to do so. Had some memory that the predictor wanted me to give another set of spotted headscarf/classy top/red skirt (3rd festival in a row for that combo) on day 2 and avoided it by wearing a classy top. Got a cave-person outfit instead.

Traded out a third stack from my stack chest. And once my Legend has produced enough roe to fill an entire stack, it will get ousted from its pond and get replaced with a Legend II. I'm getting tired of looking at that slow-growing stack.

I got the spring onion knowledge from Vincent and Jas. I really wish there was a way to get that in year 1, when the extra money is useful. 8 hearts is a lot, even for year 2.
I'm in year 3 now, and I really can't be bothered to go looking for spring onions during an already busy day.

Also, I got the chef at the Calico Desert festival to make me a shrimp dish, took the bus home, grabbed a seafoam pudding that I'd been gifted at some point, and rushed out to get my iridium Krobus. Now I can go deal with trash bear without making that statue even harder to reach.

I found a second auto-petter - I'd found one in the Skull caverns before, and now there was one in a mystery box. I also found an auto-grabber while doing Marlon's quest during the festival. I put that in the coop, as I think I like milking the cows for a bit, for the extra friendship.

Off to hunt for the coconut some more now.

New week. Went to the special orders board and picked up the prismatiic jelly quest. So far I've been pretty lucky with it, usually finding the slime in the first couple of days. On my way to the mines I went to Robin and asked her to build me a fish pond because of course I did. I love fish ponds.
Couldn't find the prismatic slime that day, but found that having a savage ring on is pretty nice here – I walk down from the elevator, see no slime, kill the nearest grub and have a speedy return back up.
In the later half of next day I did find and successfully slay the slime, gathered up it's jelly and right away gave it to the wizard just to get done with it and not risk forgetting. Spent the rest of the day fishing. Smoked lake fish is brings me most of my money right now. Same thing next day - more fishing. Also my wild seeds had grown. Made the forageables into more seeds, immediately after carfted some tea saplings, not as much for the money as just to reduce the number of them I have, like 1,5 stacks of summer ones in one of the chests. I'm very limited by fiber though, would be nice to get the community cleanup guest.
Since Robin was back to her shop I bought the big chest recipe, a calendar and a workbench. None are necessary, but I do like having them. I have more than enough copper and wood so upgrading a few normal chests wasn't a problem. While doing that found out that I have exactly 10 crabs (and a just built pond) so decided to get the pearl. Remembered to take care of chickens. Forgot about them for a bit, but they didn't mind.
