1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

Got a request from Clint to slay some dust sprites. I didn't feel like resetting the mines again, so I tried whether jumping mushrooms were good enough for him, and they were...
I did get out with a ton of money, a golden animal cracker and a few diamonds.

I wondered whether it's worth buying perfection from Fizz instead of going for the clock - and decided to go for it. I know I'll want the clock at some point, but there are so many other things I wanted to do and having to save all my money for that clock was keeping me from doing the fun stuff. Like get furniture, do the community upgrades, get some more animals...

When only the clock is left to obtain, the Wiki says, it's cheaper to buy it

It is cheaper to buy perfection waivers than to build the obelisks and golden clock. Those buildings cost a total of Gold.png13,000,000g to build and provide 14% of perfection. 14 perfection waivers only cost Gold.png7,000,000g, saving a total of Gold.png6,000,000g.

Not quite in the game, but wrote a fanfic scene about the first time my farmer enters the casino... Not gonna happen for a long while in the main storyline, but I had to get it out of my head, because :blush::blush: Slept two hours after work. Then was up to 5 am writing, then woke up after just 4 hours with that darn comic-inspired scene in mind. Just over 3600 words, but now it can finally leave me alone.

I did end up doing that. I find that in the later game there's less room for debris to spawn anyway. I will probably at some point buy the clock, but the pressure is off now and now I can buy things that are fun - like furniture and maybe a return sceptre.
It's Fall in Year 4 in this game - my earliest perfection yet - but it feels a bit cheat-y. LOL!!!!

So today I bought a wallpaper catalog, a second sheep, a golden egg and 144 starfruit seeds for my GI farm. I have 1 more space left in my barn, and I am hoping either one of the sheep or one of the goats will give birth at some point.
Currently I have 4 cows, 3 goats, 2 ostriches and 2 sheep. I also have 3 pigs, but they have their own barn and a fenced-off area to save some time hunting for truffles. I also plan a second coop, to make room for more golden chickens.

I finished Spring of Year Two in my most recent farm.

In Fall, I got over a thousand points for the grange display, which I think is the highest score I've ever gotten for my first year display at the fair.

I'm doing a Farm First challenge, which I'd assumed would push back finishing up the Community Center until Year Two. However, it ended up coming together all of a sudden and I completed it halfway through the night market in Year One. Side note: I wish you could buy a desk like the one in CC for your farmhouse. The solarium chronicles game from the main room, too.

During the desert festival in Spring (Year Two), I discovered that interacting with Sandy during said festival does not count as meeting her and going into skull caverns then doesn't fullfull the skull key quest. Emily was working a booth on day one of the festival, and Sandy dressed my farmer up as one of Santa's elves. Then on day two, Emiiy dressed him up as Link. I guess farmer Tim gives off elf vibes. 😄

On the last day of Spring (Year One), my farmer married Sebastian. This came after my favorite farmer proposal to date. Farmer Tim bought the mermaid pendant and since Seb always goes to the beach on rainy days, just fished a bit and waited for him to start heading down the pier. I first clicked on Seb for the daily dialogue, and it just happened to be the one where he asks if the farmer could picture him living on a farm and how he's been thinking of that a lot lately. So Farmer Tim followed that up with a proposal and then Seb kept talking about how excited he was to get married and start living on a farm for the next few days. It all lined up perfectly to make an adorable engagement.

I also added a Southern room to the farmhouse and made a pool/spa room, which Seb (and the cat, on rainy days) keeps hanging out in. The farmhouse also has a gameroom, study (wip), bathroom (wip), work/storage room, bedroom, sitting room, and kitchen. I have no idea what to do with the lower half of the kitchen. Also, the cellar has a hall of casks hiding an entrance to the Batcave (wip - I'll post pics later on). This has nothing to do wish the bat cave on the farm and exists simply because I couldn't think of a farmer I wanted to make and so designed Farmer Tim off Tim Drake/Tim Wayne (aka my favorite Robin) from DC.

This one's a Meadowlands farm with two coops (one is, of course, all ducks), a bee area, crop field, fishery, mushroom & syrup grove, and a fishing & camping spot (wip).

Nearing the end of Spring year 8. Removed the last gold mayo from my stack chest. Next to trade for more valuable stacks is strawberry jelly. Did a "research" mine run for the fanfic but had to play a few days to find a day where the farm chores allowed it.

Fanfic wise, the story nears the Luau year 1 and I'm looking forward to the minor confrontation that happens there. Because of the gap between story and gameplay, I'm taking some artistic licences.

Last few days of Fall year 4. I spent it preparing for winter. Put fiber seeds on my farm spaces with speed grow, and I'll probably fill most of the other spaces wither with speed grow and fiber seeds as well - or powder melons. Unless I get the Qi fruit thing again...

My two coops and two barns all have a radiator, three of them have an auto-grabber. (The pigs don't need one...)
I have one auto-petter, which I found in the skull cavern. I removed it from the cow/goat/sheep barn and now put it in one of the coops. I think I'm going to rotate it - switch it to a different animal building each season.

My first golden chicken laid a golden egg, which I'm now incubating.

I bought a furniture catalog now, and I am trying to decorate my house.

Summer Year Two, there was an octopus frenzy in the ocean. It was a rainy day, so I didn't need to water any crops. I hurried up and pet all the animals so Farmer Tim could go fish and caught the end of the frenzy. I got five octopus, which I think are the first ones I've caught during Summer. I usually catch them during the Night Market. As soon as the frenzy ended, I caught the Crimsonfish (it was about halfway down the Eastern pier) and got a trasure chest with it that had four roe. Definitely a good start to the season!

I built a couple more fish ponds (so far I have rainbow trout, crabs, midnight squid, void salmon, lava eel, octopus, and the crimsonfish ponds). I bought the wizard catalogue and finished the gameroom, study, and most of the Batcave. I also hatched another duck. :duck:
