My parents got me a new phone after the old one started doing a lot of weird things and they thought its gonna break completely soon (to be fair it was almost 7 years old at that point) and only then i realize how laggy everything was. I still use it to play modded but yeah it acts up a lot.

Having bad hardware does make you appreciate a higher refresh rate and a better experience MUCH more. My grandma's Redmi is like magic to me.
