I am experiencing issues with the game in Switch as well (not Switch 2). All of my totems disappeared when I created a treasure totem  and I was unable to get them back. Also every time I create treasure totems, only one gets created but the resources from the chest are being consumed, regardless of how I create them.
I guess we just have to wait. At least 20 people have the sane issue. Definitely a bug.

I would check your artifacts/geodes. I’ve been having this crafting issue on the switch and it was consuming my geodes/mystery boxes in place of the required items.

I noticed today that when I make a treasure totem on the workbench:

1) I cannot make more than one at a time even though it consumes materials each time and the side pop up has the number notated but when I close the workbench I am left with only one in my inventory

2) As the first treasure totem is made, it takes my horse totem from my backpack! I closed and reopened to go back to that morning and was able to replicate it 3 times.

Playing on switch, year 8 autumn 21
Also hey it would be great to have a machine/shop to trade wood for hardwood! I’ve got 4,000 pieces of wood and can’t keep up with hardwood. Just a thought! I love the game!

Hi there! (Hopefully this is the right place to post this.) I just updated my game yesterday and noticed that when I went to craft a treasure totem using the crafting bench, it just kept saying I had pretty much infinite mystic syrup… and then wouldn’t craft more than one totem. It would keep resetting to saying I can make 20 totems… and then I would make 5, close out of the bench and reopen it only for it to be back to one totem in my inventory.
So I closed out of it, and then went to open one of my big chests and an entire line of items was gone from it💀 - so I just closed out of the entire game without saving so it would reset. My horse flute randomly disappeared and the mystic syrup glitch still seems active.
Now it’s just saying I have one in my inventory even though I don’t… maybe these things aren’t related at all… I only have three save files on my switch, so not sure what to do. I’ve just been avoiding using the mystic syrup. Anyway, is there something I can do without having to start over?
Thank you!

I came here and created an account JUST to report this exact same thing.

Got my first mystic syrup, created a totem using the tool bench, discovered that the syrup stayed around but multiple items in the same chest as the syrup had disappeared (all my sea/cave/river jellies and hardwood, plus more that I don't remember).

I went to create more totems and more stuff kept disappearing, so I'm just selling my syrup now because I'm scared to lose more items. The syrup was never consumed by the crafting recipe.

I'm on the Switch one, latest update, year 4.

I’ve had similar problems where algae, skeletal hand, coffee, and blue city painting are counting as sea jelly, river jelly, and cave jelly! I know there’s more stuff too, I just haven’t identified it all yet! Only since the last update on Switch.

- Same here. I have a few saves and I’ve had glitches in the past but not like this. So weird! As soon as I noticed my mining chest was missing all my prismatic shards and stuff - I closed that game so fast to reset the day 😂 (I’ve lurked in these forums for so long without an account - but I had to see if anyone else was experiencing this because it was tripping me up)

Hello! While playing on the switch, I was attempting to craft treasure totems. I had 8 mystic syrups, 241 moss, and over 300 hardwood. While continuously crafting, holding down the "a" button on the switch the game created only 1 treasure totem but my mystic syrups # did not decrease nor the hardwood in my inventory. All of the moss was taken except 1 moss. I tried using the 1 treasure totem that was created on the valley beach, and it worked as normal. On advanced crafting it states I have crafted 27 treasure totems but this was the only one I had made in this save file so far. Help ?!

I have encountered. A very strange glitch today.
I’m playing on the switch 2 edition, v1.6.15 build 11
I’d give you my save file like the guideline says but. Kinda no way to do that without installing funny software on my switch that i do not trust myself to install
So. Today I tried to craft a couple treasure totems. I place a workbench next to my chest, start crafting and: I can’t craft more than one treasure totem. If i move the first crafted totem somewhere else in my inventory or to a chest somewhere and then try to craft it will just delete the old one and spawn me a new one. It also doesnt seem to use up any moss or mystic syrup, but still uses up the hardwood each time. The crafting menu also says i have 1020 mystic syrup and 1358 moss when i only have 37 mystic syrup and 375 moss. This happens both when using a work bench and just using the inventory. Crafting the first totem also deleted my horse flute for some reason? So i tried reloading my save and putting the horse flute in a chest not connected to the workbench which let me craft normally again. This got me wondering, if my horse flute got deleted when it was in my inventory, why didnt that solve the problem? Well it seems that as long as you craft the first totem with the horse flute in your inventory, the ghost of the horse flute sticks around and haunts you and does not let you craft any more treasure totems. After trying to do more testing, i also found that removing the horse flute from your inventory only fixes the problem some of the time???? I have no clue what i would have done differently to make it not fix the problem. I hope all this info from my long dumb story helps fix this bug because i would appreciate using the totem to get some qi beans soon.
Best of luck bug fixing,

Hello.
Due to a crafting bug currently affecting the Switch version, the Blue Grass Starter and Treasure Totem are in a particularly strange state.
To put it simply, these two items consume themselves as materials to create themselves—a rather peculiar situation.

When you actually try it, you'll see that due to a crafting bug, it's possible to confirm that 5 Hardwood and 11 Treasure Totems are consumed when crafting a Treasure Totem.

Another factor contributing to this bug relates to the game's unique consumption item priority system.
Items consumed during crafting are taken from the bottom-right slots of your inventory, causing crafted items to be consumed immediately.
Using a workbench is pointless here; you can only watch as items in your inventory are prioritized for consumption over those in the workbench.

So if you want to craft a large number of Blue Grass Starters or Treasure Totems, the following precautions are necessary:
1. Do not use a workbench
2. Empty your inventory
3. Place the required materials in the bottom-right slot of your inventory (This is important)
4. Perform consecutive crafting actions
5. Be careful, as once materials run out, the crafting will start consuming the Blue Grass Starters or Treasure Totems themselves

Incidentally, due to this bug, the Treasure Totem can now be crafted using only Hardwood and Torch without Mystic Syrup.

Also, the items mistakenly consumed by this bug are listed below. Please check them if possible.

Actually, furniture that can be obtained infinitely from the catalog can also replace Mystic Syrup and Moss.
Therefore, if you have the catalog, you can essentially create Treasure Totems endlessly using only Hardwood. (It takes time, though...)
