Went weed whacking on a green rain day, got 347 hay to show for it. Gonna have to see what a personal best will be, since I stopped to buy a rabbit on the way.

Haymaker is a cool little enchantment you can put on a melee weapon (Like a sword) to occasionally get hay when slicing through weeds.
It's on the wiki; it has to do with the Volcano Forge on Ginger Island. Under 'Combat Enchantments'

Its moderately useful, but niche, falls into the same category as bug killer where you could totally use it, but it's 'useless' when compared to any enchant you'd actually prefer to have on a main weapon/tool

if you could put two separate enchantments on the same weapon it'd be a fine second one to have when you're, say, resetting Floor 81 to grind up crafting resources. But, as it is we are limited to one and the others are all going to be more useful in most situations (there's also several better uses of your Prismatic Shard so until/unless you've Skull Caverned well enough to have a surplus of them...).
Might be worthwhile on a second weapon (a sword, ideally) you keep stored in a chest by the mine elevator entrance. If you remember and/or like micromanaging yourself enough to remember to swap it in and out of your inventory.

I don't remember any of the enchantments either lol. I always gotta research on the wiki before I use the forge- ;-;Ah, I see. Thanx, just forgot about that

I totally agree. Recently, I went short on hay with one farmer. I used one of the weapons that sleep in my chests to put Haymaker enchantment on it (I took me a few Prismatic/Cinder Shards because I was unlucky) and it was totally worth it on the green rain day that happened a few days later: my silos were refilled.
Now, everytime I need to cut grass or whatever to get fiber or mere cleaning, I use this weapon to also get hay. Totally worth it, though I agree with @FilthyGorilla it's kind of a niche enchantment as I wouldn't use it on my main weapon (where vampiric enchantment rules unchallenged).

Update: stormed the entire valley during my latest green rain day and collected 411 hay using a dwarf sword enchanted with haymaker and speed boosts from two triple espresso and a crab cake. I am now wondering what it would take to get more. Faster sword? Higher luck? I am discounting using the farm space to cultivate weeds since that would vary a lot by farm type, and in my case, uh, the entire farm was choked with grass so I did not get any weeds on the farm.

Yep. After you reach Ginger Island, which you can do after completing the Community Center and fixed up the boat. A bit of stuff extra on the island until you can either reach the forge in the volcano or have the materials for making a mini-forge (you get the recipe for that in the mastery cave)
