1.6 Update What happened in your game today?

As someone who is trying to collect every hat and I'm only in year 2, I'm starting to think the challenge wasn't such a good idea.

Congrats, though!!!

It's nice to have a long challenge. I slowed down my 100 rabbit run by requiring a giant plush bunny in every rabbit coop, so I can only add 12 per year. Gives me plenty of time to have fun with the rest of the game.

It's year 10, I just finished restoring the community center and repaired Willy's boat. I also got the statue of perfection from Grandpa's shrine.

i'm planning on building a slime hutch because i have two slime eggs and i gotta put them somewhere

i'm also harassing shane with beers all the time so we can befriend enough to get the blue chickens, i need three and then i'll have three of each chicken breed

i've been trying to craft each and every recipe, and i've made good progress so far i just need made 10-15 more

and i've laid off the mines for now, i have enough ore to open my own blacksmith shop and i've been forging a ton of metal bars to help craft stuff/make buildings

That’s insane! I get jealous of overly talented maximizers. I feel like when I get a shed full of them do what like 100 for stairs or spicy eel or diamonds that I ran a marathon. Thats where I stop. Congrats! Might want to make one more…

Does anyone else feel like a total idiot reading these posts full of maximizers? I mean I’ve been playing for four years and I can’t even comprehend playing that well. I’ll go back to my lazy farm and soak in my inner tube on my make believe lazy river lol!

Today, I started a whole new Beach Farm. As I was reeling in my tutorial fish on day 2, the sea monster appeared. Crazy

The Green Creature is a programmed random occurrence at the Beach.

It doesn't give you anything. It's just an "Easter Egg"

I worked on my ginger island farm, upgraded my fairybox trinket with the anvil (trying to get to level five, but I can only get to level 3 so far), I built a shed for Crystalariums, I got to fall year 7, and I got max friendship with Vincint, and Linus!

I just have a lot of what most would call "free time" and "no life" but I'm not complaining. :) For me I feel like I've ran a marathon if I get more than one stack of 999 (diamonds or iridium ore for example). We all like to play different ways, and I think that's part of what makes the game so great. I play differently on each of my farms, and only one of them have I crafted 6,666 crystalariums and I'll never do it again haha.

Keep an eye on the stats; I have two different perfect magic quivers, and one is better than the other. My non-perfect ice rod actually is faster than my perfect one, and stuns for longer. No idea what makes one perfect.

Yeah I had this happen to with my “perfect” quivers. The stats were quite different. Both still good but obviously different. Not sure either what causes the game to reach “perfect,” when obviously one is more “perfect” than the other. And this has happened multiple times! I’m only into quivers, fairy boxes and occasionally a frog. The frogs are adorable but they always swallow just what I need to kill.

I've just started a new save and have decided to mod the heck out of it with 148 mods!

I'm also trying to play the game differently than I usually do and not for maxing everything out for profit. Just for the beauty of the game and to enjoy the changing of the seasons. I'm focussing on growing crops (no farm animals), foraging, making preserves and recipes and chatting to the villagers. I've installed a farm layout called "Aimon's Small Forest Farm" and it's super cozy and easy to manage.
