Is there any in game benefit to placing furniture outdoors?? or is it just for aesthetics?

it's more for looks, the only outdoor decorations that have a purpose would be the ones you craft like the

A lot of people like to decorate their farms, and the furniture is mostly used for that.

I mean the whole point of furniture is decoration, at least for the vast majority of decorational items without alternate purposes

I am afraid these two statue will be blown away by storm.
I put them in my house then I can wake up and touch them immediately.
Touching them becames daily routine.
