Weapons Downgraded in Inventory

Refreshing won’t work. I can’t pinpoint when it happened so returning to last save won’t work either. Strangely, the tools at the Blacksmiths still have updated upgrades, as in, even though my pick axe is currently steel in my inventory— but was once iron— the blacksmith’s update is to gold. Any idea how to fix? Thanks!

Steel is the level prior to gold. So are you saying that these items were gold and became steel?
