Can I use retaining soil at Pierre's infinitely? ^-^ If I have enough stone/ore

So, for example, if I had an Iridium Watering can, and 2 stone in my inventory could I hypothetically plant the crops, use the retaining soil as it doesn't take an action, then sell the crop, then plant the crops then sell again? ^^

Unless you have a multi season crop like corn, it seems like the changing seasons remove any retaining soil put down. In one season, though, you could hypothetically only water each space once.

Yeah, I think as long as you had stones you could keep repeating the process of planting > watering > selling.

Would depend on how long you consider the Buy/Sell action to last. The retaining soil says it happens “at any time” so it definitely can interrupt, but that might end the Buy/Sell action.
Also you’d only be able to do it twice since that’s all the inventory space you’d have for stones.
