Switch [HELP] Unable to co op

I’ve been playing co op on my friends farm for a while now, we both got an update and installed it and now when he is on I don’t see his farm and will eventually get a support code 2818-1028 code and so does he, we tried a different game and had no issues with that one.... does anyone know what’s going on?

I've heard Stardew on the Switch can have trouble if you're too far from your wireless router. If possible, playing closer to that may help.

I do have that issue in fact I can only play if I’m close to it but this time not even if I’m next to it works :(
