1.6 Update 1.6 Switch Thoughts

SPOILERS FOR 1.6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've only had time to play a little bit since the new update, but I'm loving it so far!!! I think there's definitely still some things that need to be fixed in the next switch update: to my knowledge switch is at 1.6.9, but PC has 1.6.10. Of course, there's no rush, I'm just looking forward to some things:
- being able to buy work boots
- drinking mayo
- the little crow guy
- the legendary roe

I had green rain on my first day of my perfection farm which was really fun!! I didn't see any of the green rain trees but I might have missed them. I'm really looking forward to playing the events, but right now I'm trying to get a new save where I get work boots from the remixed bundle. I've done 2 saves so far and it hasn't worked, so I'm going to do a couple more. I also want to fish up jellies and I'm really close to getting one of the skill things!! I really want the trinkets.
Anyway, hope y'all are enjoying it like I am!!

I'm on ps4 but I'm highly enjoying it as well! I just had my first green rain too, and got JUST BARELY enough Moss for my Statue of Blessings. Looking forward to finding a prismatic butterfly, just for the fun of it ^.^

I'll try again next cart day to get my seed for you. Not sure if the switch seed calculator needs to be updated for 1.6 first, though.

I'm kind of glad there was time for me to learn everything before I got to the new stuff. Games where I don't know what I'm doing give me anxiety. I know a lot of people enjoy discovering things for themselves, but I tend to overlook side quests. If I don't have a good resource for how to play a game, I get easily frustrated and super upset that I can't figure it out quickly on my own. Maybe I don't have a good gamer mindset or something.

I've mainly been playing on my perfection farm and I caught all the new fish (basically the jellies lol) and shipped all the new things
I've been doing a ton of other stuff like the new achievements to get all the hats and trying to get all the books but it'll definitely take a while! Also the time waiting in between the raccoon quests takes FOREVER. But in general, been loving 1.6 it so far. Just saw all the townspeople in their winter clothes and I LOVE it, literally amazing!

It's crazy to think how far a game has come- I've been around since 1.3 and its been amazing every time with the 3 updates, but even then it took so many changes to get to 1.3 for example

On the downside though I have noticed the lagginess quite a bit and the weird glitch with the leaves. I also really want that crow and the work boots still. :(

I've tried to start a new farm 3 times now to get the work boots and each time I've put in about an hour of gameplay to not get them which sucks, but I really want to play on a farm that starts from 1.6 from the beginning. For instance, PRIZE TICKETS. By now I'd probably have around 50 based on everything I've done before 1.6, but they're so hard to get at this point in the gameplay it feels like.

Heya we have some Switch seeds for each and every Remixed Mines items when we explored this topic a bit back. If the update doesn't change the seed generation logic, you can try these (I severely abuse seeds): https://forums.stardewvalley.net/threads/remixed-mines-is-finally-solved.13207/#post-79072

I have a few good seeds for Desert Festival and such as well, but part of the fun for the new update is spontaneous exploration and genuine surprises, so I won't get you down that rabbit hole unless you are interested in it (perfection takes soooo much time).

I'm sorry it's late and my brain already turned off but shouldn't you be able to get the Boots of Work from the Adventurer's Guild? Or are you trying not to get any new things on an existing farm and saving all the super new goodies for that new playthrough? Which makes loads of sense as I started new for v1.6. Heehee maybe I'll open my Beach Haley Farm just to see how the new stufs show up in a pretty much complete playthrough!

Due to a bug/glitch, work boots are not yet for sale on the Switch (or Playstation). The new stuff isn't showing in the shop. We're waiting on a patch.

So I have the basilisk paw (immediately equipped) and not one, not two, but THREE golden spurs. And I'm not currently set up for a crit build, though I did pick up an iridium needle with an extra +1 crit chance. Grrrrrrrr.

Get over here, little froggies! I have a tank set up for you already!

A lot of console players (maybe others?) are having the same problem with their spouses getting stuck in that spot near the Bus Stop.

It's not clear what's going on but I notice Rasmodius is suspiciously silent about the new supernatural goings on with the most recent updates, so it's pretty obvious he has no idea. Because otherwise he'd be making claims about arcane knowledge and talking bears and we all know that's just his cover story for inheriting his tower, books, and cauldron from his uncle after being kicked out of prestidigitation prep school.
