Help what do i do in this game

The good thing is there's not a lot of rules or things you can truly mess up, so there's a lot of freedom to just do whatever! The bad thing is there aren't great guides for some of the most basic things (I had a friend who couldn't figure out how to open doors) so if you're not used to these types of games it can be a bit frustrating at first. But that's what we're here for!

What have you done so far? Is there anything you're stuck on?

Early game, I personally enjoy doing a little bit of planting/watering crops, foraging (picking up the stuff laying on the ground like daffodils), and cutting down trees. After they unlock, I love going down into the mines. I also like fishing, but a lot of newer players have trouble with that.

If you're on a computer, you can press "F" and some possible quests will pop up. Sometimes those can be helpful if you're looking for the next thing to do.

A good thing to do is watching telly, especially Livin' off the Land every Monday and Thursday. There is a lot of tips on what you can do next.

As @Yvi said, keep track of the quests in your journal ("F"). Every time you finish a quest, open the journal again to collect the prize money.
Have a look at the "Help Wanted" board outside Pierre's General Store in town on a daily basis. You have 2 days to complete each quest you find there and get the payment for it. Talk to townspeople often, give them gifts they love or like (you can find out what these are in the Wiki under the name of each NPC). The more friendship points and hearts you get with them, the more gifts or well payed quests they will send you.

If you're not familiar with this kind of games at all, the chapter "Getting Started" in the Stardew Valley Wiki could help you out.
But, yes, it would be helpful for us to learn where you are and where you're stuck in the game.

As to the rest - plant, water, harvest, sell, go fishing and mining as soon as you get a fishing rod and access to the mines resp., upgrade your tools, socialize, explore the terrain ... and and as soon as you run out of energy, eat something or go to sleep. 😏

I feel like I'm already giving all my energy to the game. But I'm not complaining.

What helped me a lot was the Wiki and until today I sometimes look at it when I have a question because there are so many hidden things you cannot find without help or you must play the whole day. 😅
